New Team Members

We are pleased to announce that we have been joined by part-time trainee dental nurse, Beth McDougall. Beth is settling in well.

As we have had lots of new patients joining the practice, we will also have a new dentist, Hannah Campbell (GDC No 251007) joining the practice at the end of February.  Hannah will be working in the green surgery.

We are also looking forward to seeing one of our part-time nurses join us on a full-time basis.  Kayleigh Mackey will be increasing her hours with us from Monday 23rd of February.

We Are Now OPEN

A fond farewell to our friends at Dyke Road who have graciously accommodated us and our patients since the fire at Archerhill Road in October 2012.  We opened our doors at 9 am on Tuesday 23rd December and are delighted to welcome patients to our new dental clinic. There's already been lots of feedback from patients and staff about our new home.  Let us know what you think on our facebook page Here or by filling in the form on our Contact Us page

riverbank DENTAL

Congratulations to Principal Dentist Andrew Leitch who has taken up a new part-time post with NHS Education Scotland.  His role involves co-ordinating courses for a group of new dental graduates and providing support to them and their in-practice mentors. Unfortunately, as a consequence Andrew has had to reduce his clinic hours. If you are having difficulty booking a suitable appointment with Andrew, you may wish to consider booking in with one of our other dentists.

Medical Emergencies Training

The team enjoyed an annual update session on dealing with medical emergencies on Monday 27th April.  Resus Officer Ian Robertson brought along  resusci Annie dummies for us all to practice our CPR, and also provided refresher training on using our defibrillator.  It was great to see the team working together to deal with the various medical emergency scenarios Ian came up with.

Exam Success

Congratulations to our Dental Nurses Alicia Sheridan,

Beth McDougall, Kayleigh Mackey and Louise Galloway on passing their Dental Nursing Radiography qualification.  They are all now qualified to take dental x-rays on a dentist's behalf.
